Where can I buy 'manly' latch hook rug kits? My little brother (16) got a couple latch hook rug kits for Christmas, but is bummed that he can't seem to find many 'manly' patterns, he wants to do WWII planes in particular. What I want to know is where I can buy those for him.
The manager bought some rug kits for $1 each, sold all but 6 at a price of $22, and made profit $168. # kits? Find the # of kits originally bought.....I keep ending up with 14 2/7 should I round it up for down? Is that even correct?

Has anybody done a European Acrylic tufted rug kit? i have purchased 1 for the first time, and dont know what to do with the 2 different thickness yarns.instructions say to knot them together, but i dont see how this would work. any ideas?

How can I make a pillow out of a latch rug that i made out of a store-bought kit? It is the kind that is made out of about 4-inch pieces of yarn, and a square shape. I am having a hard time figuring out how to make a throw pillow out of it. Anyone done this before? Everything I've tried hasn't worked. The backing is just that wiry material with holes all over it.
Colour missing from Latch Hook Rug Kit 'Snow Wolf'? I bought a Wonderart Latch Hook Rug Kit called 'Snow Wolf'. The wool colour key says there are four types of blue; light blue (symbol is a bold L), spec. blue (symbol is a square), medium blue (symbol is a triangle, and dark blue (syombol is a Z). However, I only have three of them, a light, medium and dark, but I don't know which blue is missing. I tried counting the strands and matching them to how many the pack says there are to determine which colour I don't have, but all the numbers are wrong. I'm guessing I don't have light or spec. blue (stands for special??) but can't be sure. Does anyone have this kit and had the same problem? It's a christmas gift for a friend and needs to be completed soon.
I'm looking for a latch hook to make a rug? I have a latch hook rug kit somebody gave me that I want to make in the fall. I am also looking into making a small one for my bedroom as soon as possible. The kit I was given came with no hook (and the "giver" checked with the person who bought it and she said the hooks don't come with the kits. I am having trouble finding them on the web, all I find is a Co. that has all different kinds, very confusing-doesn't say what each is for. Can anybody help me? I live in the Hartford area of Connecticut, and have to take the bus and can't walk too far (arthritis in my back.) so buy most things on line. I thought the hooks were all the same or at least there was a "basic" one! I'm at end of my yarn (smile!) Thanks.

What can i do with an 8 in by 8 in latch hook "rug"? I say "rug" cause it's too tiny to be a rug. It was a Caron Kid's latch hook kit (I got it for free, I would've normally bought a bigger one) it's pretty cute and I want to d something with it. I think it's too small to be a decent pillow and I'm not a huge fan of throw pillows, they just end up getting lost. Any other ideas?

Latch Hook Rug Question...? I just received a latch hook rug kit. When I opened it, the kit contained "penelope" rug canvas instead of the regular "mono" rug canvas. I contacted the supplier and they said it was an imported kit, couldn't replace the canvas, will pass info on, don't care....etc... Anyway, because I really like the design, I do not want to return it. I am also hesitant about purchasing mono canvas to replace the canvas that came with the kit (Spending more money on part of the kit that should be included just drives me nuts!). Does anyone have any experience working latch hook rugs on penelope rug canvas? Preferably I would like a site that shows a demonstration...Any help??? carolyn
How can I get started on an at-home rug making business? I'd like information on an at-home rug making business. I'm a soon to be mother with a military husband. I want to be a stay at home mom but also make a little cash on the side. I have ordered 2 books and done some online researching but direct answers would be much better in this case. I already know latch hook and am hoping to use that or rug hooking kits to make these rugs. If anyone has done something like this before, I could use a boost to get started.
Latch hook rug - not a kit? For 4H, my son is signed up to make a latch hook rug, which he's done before, but it can't be from a kit. Are there stores that sell the "background thing with the little squares", and patterns (or are there sites that let you download free patterns)? And do stores sell yarn in little bundles, or would we need to buy balls of yarn and cut it to size? Any input would be appreciated, thank you. Thank you. My dog ate crayons and threw them up on our light carpet. How do I get the purple spot (dye?) out of the rug? The color is a combination of red, yellow, green, blue and purple crayons my daughter left unattended on the floor for a whole 5 minutes. The stain started out blackish-purple and so far I've tried pet spotter and a carpet cleaning kit. All it did was lighten the stain to a light purplish color. I'm keeping it damp so it won't set. Anybody ever had this problem? What should I use on my new carpet?
My drum rug keep's sliding on my wood floor, anyway to stop this? Alright well i play a 4 piece kit, double bass pedals, 4 crashes, and standard high hats. Except, every time i want to play for more than 5 minute's, my drums start to slide accross my wood floor. Yes i have a drum rug, but the whole rug slide's with it. Any way to stop this?

What to do with finished latch hook rugs? Okay so for the past few years I've been making latch hook rugs. They take up too much space and I was wondering if there is a way to sell these? I don't really have people to sell them to, and I was wondering how one would go about getting rid of these projects while not throwing away all your cash. I am afraid to sell them on ebay because someone might accidentally be deceived and think that it was an unfinished latch hook kit, and be surprised to find a completely finished rug at their doorstep. Any suggestions?
How do I get marker out of a rug? I am so frustrated. My son was coloring on the couch, I walked downstairs to heat up leftovers for lunch. I was gone 4 minutes! Can't take your eyes off them, I know...I know. I get back upstairs and there are long lines of black marker on my less-than-a-week old, blue and cream, $700.00 Belgian area rug! I only mention this to emphasize the frustration! My options for removal are very limited. I have zero hazardous cleaning products in my house. I DO have vinegar, laundry detergent, dish detergent, Shaklee product, and little rubbing alcohol pads that come in first aide kits. Those are the only things I can think that might help, but I am terrified of discoloring the rug (especially since the spots are so large)...and I don't know how to use them for this purpose. How to get wax off household objects without special remover? I made a huge mess with a gigi home wax kit and theres wax all over the machine, wood cabinet, boxes, and bags. I was able to sue mayo to remove wax from my skin and from the rug but will ti also work on those toher surfaces?? I don't wnat to buy special wax remover either since it would be extremely difficult for me to get to a place to find it. Please tell me if mayo will work or if any other household objects would.

So far, I've only ever completed a kit, but I didn't like any of the designs so I used a picture I had and converted it through leftsource.com. Hand sewing a pillow including a hook rug. I need info on materials, stitching, and how to(sorta)? I am hand sewing a pillow using a hook rug. It measures 8" x 8". 1) Would I buy 2 pieces of fabric that measure 9" and then sew the actual rug onto one piece? 2)I would sew the completed hook rug on to one of the two pieces and then sew(using the back stitch) the two pieces of fabric inside out first and then turn it right side out, stuff it, and then sew the rest with the blanket stitch- right? 3)The hook rug is the same as this. http://www.acmoore.com/p-25384-krafty-kids-latch-hook-kit-8x8-soccer-ball.aspx So what color fabric should I do? What does your horse do when it rains? I have two powerful horses. One is 16hh+ and the other is 18hh. I am only 5ft 2 so I am very vunerable when these horses go mad. They do this when it rains or when it is windy. They will eat their food and then attack each other and gallop around the field and charge at each other. They spook at my grooming kit , their food bowls and each other when this happens. I try to get there rugs on but they run off and I am scared that they might get stuck in their rugs one day. Psp battery caught on fire, store wont return what can i do? bought a psp battery kit. Last night i had it charging on the wall mount, when i took it off the wall mount smoke staring to come out of it and the caught on fire.
