How to get wax off household objects without special remover?

I made a huge mess with a gigi home wax kit and theres wax all over the machine, wood cabinet, boxes, and bags. I was able to sue mayo to remove wax from my skin and from the rug but will ti also work on those toher surfaces?? I don't wnat to buy special wax remover either since it would be extremely difficult for me to get to a place to find it. Please tell me if mayo will work or if any other household objects would.

1. Try using a blow dryer to soften the wax and then you can scrape it up.
2. Apply heat to the wax and you should have no trouble at all just wiping it up.
