I have a big hole in my rug now , what i think is battery acid on my fingers ( doesnt burn). I went to the store and they wont return it because they say all i have is an empty box. 1. To be honest, and I don't want to sound like a smart ass, but . . . buy a new one!
  2. throw them away
  3. take pictures of it and call the company that made it....they have to do something! if not contact the better business beauro because that just bad business to not replace it or acknowledge the danger it could have cause....make sure the outlet is good so they dont try to point the finger at you!
  4. Have you tried to contact Sony phone or even through their web page. I find that a lot of times it better to contact the manufacture of the product first.
  5. I can't believe the store won't take it back. Write a letter to the manufacturer, or find their phone number, make some threats, they may replace it. That is pretty serious, you may get a little bonus from the company for that. It's worth a try. (And take pictures of everything, including the damage to the rug)
  6. sue them
