How can I make a pillow out of a latch rug that i made out of a store-bought kit?
It is the kind that is made out of about 4-inch pieces of yarn, and a square shape. I am having a hard time figuring out how to make a throw pillow out of it. Anyone done this before? Everything I've tried hasn't worked. The backing is just that wiry material with holes all over it.

- I've made lots of pillows out of completed latch hook projects. You will need fabric for backing and a pillow form. Trim the excess latch hook canvass to about an inch. Turn it down on the wrong side and tack down. You will need to miter the corners. Cut your backing fabric about an inch larger than the latch hook piece. Turn the inch to the wrong side and stitch down. Now join the backing and the latch hook by matching up the wrong sides and pinning all around, then by hand stitch the backing and latch hook together. Be sure to leave an opening for inserting the pillow form. If the latch hook isn't a standard size you will need to stuff the pillow with Polyfil. http://www.marthastewart.com/article/three-ways-to-make-a-pillow-cover You can see these instructions, you are just substituting the latch hook for fabric for the front. Hood luck and enjoy your pillow.
